Attorney Jeffrey Lazroe of Buffalo, NY; cheater, repeat offender

 

The state of New York presented Jeffrey A. Lazroe with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Toledo Law School.

 

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jeff’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to place client securities in a safe deposit box
  • Failed to maintain client funds in special account
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds
  • Failed to identify and label client securities
  • Failed to maintain required bank account records
  • Failed to maintain a record for special accounts
  • Failed to make accurate contemporaneous entries of all financial transactions    

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

 

Jeff’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to avoid prejudice to client
  • Failed to promptly refund any part of advance fee that wasn’t earned (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
