Attorney Louis Rosado of Buffalo; thief, repeat offender

 

The state of New York presented Louis Rosado with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School.

 

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Louie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness as a lawyer
  • Charged or collected fee in domestic relations matter w/o written agreement
  • Failed to promptly refund unearned advance fee (thief)
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain complete records of all client funds
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Misconduct caused harm to several clients

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
