Attorney Gustavus Donnelly Sr. of Mount Airy, NC; repeat offender

The state of North Carolina presented Gustavus L. Donnelly Sr. with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Gus guilty of the following misconduct.

Gus’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Abused trust and confidence of fellow attorney

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Gus by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Gus’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with court
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to recognize wrongful nature of his conduct
• Misconduct had potential for significant harm to the public

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Gus by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2015) Gus practices at 134 Moore Avenue in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
