Attorney K.C. Dozier of Asheboro, NC; ethical leprechaun

The state of North Carolina presented K.C. Dozier with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found K.C. guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as an assistant district attorney in Prosecutorial District 19B, including Randolph, Montgomery, and Moore Counties, North Carolina.

  • Failed to disclose to defense counsel arrangement with witnesses of criminal charge reductions or sentence concessions
  • Failed to provide defense counsel with requisite notice in response to discovery requests
  • Asked co-defendant during criminal trial if she made a deal with the State and defendant lied under oath by saying she did not have a deal with the State
  • Failed to take any measures to correct false testimony of co-defendant
  • Misconduct led trial judge to overrule jury guilty verdict
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished K.C. by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2015) K.C. practices in Asheboro, Carolina.
