Attorney Mark Farbman of Charlotte; slacker, serial offender

 

The state of North Carolina provided Mark I. Farbman with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Campbell University Law School.

 

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar has found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Mark’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged clients unreasonable fee re: settlement for medical bills
  • Billed client’s 33% of insurance payments received to pay client medical bills
  • Fee agreement misstated North Carolina law
  • Fee agreement misled clients by suggesting lien on client recovery after Mark fired

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Mark’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Incorporated prohibited content in advertisement mailer

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Mark by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

 

Mark’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to respond to numerous calls from State Farm Ins. adjuster re: client claims
  • For over 15 months failed to obtain client signature to release form for State Farm
  • Neglected client’s case for nearly two years
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Mark by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Mark practices with Mark Farbman PA at 7422 Carmel Executive Park Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina.
