Attorney Benjamin Lipscomb of Rogers, AR; ethical gremlin

The state of North Arkansas provided Benjamin Cary Lipscomb with a law license in 1988.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.

At the time of his misconduct, Benny was the Rogers City Attorney and the City was his sole client. Benny caused the City of Rogers to be sued in federal court, with him as the sole plaintiff, claiming an illegal or unlawful action by the City had harmed his status as a city official and thereby placed his personal interest in direct confluent with the interests of his client.

As a consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Benny by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand and a $4,000 fine.  

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Benny practices at No. 6 Dearhurst Road in Rogers, Arkansas.
