Attorney James Lawrence of Mount Clemens, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan presented James Lawrence with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. 

The Tri County Hearing Panel #101 found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to deposit legal fees and expenses that were paid in advance into a client trust account
• Withdrew fees paid in advance prior to earning the fees
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly pay or deliver funds which a client or third person were entitled to receive
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 100-day suspension of his law license and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,000.00 to a client (victim).

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Jimmy practices his brand of law at 235 South Gratiot Avenue in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
