Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

During a recent (early July 2016) interview with Scott Keyes of ThinkProgress, Ronnie was asked whether he agreed that employers should not be under any legal obligation to provide health insurance to employees who have been diagnosed or treated for cancer. Ronnie the Humanitarian replied by saying:

• "Listen our rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
• “And when we start expanding beyond that realm, when you create a right for somebody, you create an obligation for somebody else, and then you’re taking away that person’s right.”

Of course Ronnie doesn’t much give a damn if any Wisconsinites are denied coverage because they’re suffering from cancer. However, you can be assured that Ronnie feels quite comfortable knowing that these same Wisconsinites are bound by law to pay federal income taxes in order to pay for the Cadillac health insurance coverage provided to Ronnie and his family.

Since Ronnie finds it acceptable to deny coverage to cancer victims, then maybe we should demand that insurance coverage for Ronnie and his comrades in Congress not cover the costs of future colonoscopies. Not to worry, I’m sure there are many, many amateur volunteers that would be more than happy to perform this medical procedure pro bono.

Congrats Ronnie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Humanitarians”; you are far too humble.
