Judge Tom Davis of Lawrenceville, GA; moronic loser

The state of Georgia presented Thomas “Tom” Ned Davis with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Georgia Law School.

Former Gov. Sonny Perdue was duped into appointing Tommy as a Gwinnett County Circuit Court judge in 2006. Tommy didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Decatur area. He received it because  he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Tommy has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-eight (38) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Gwinnett County area was about to offer Tommy a good paying job.

Georgia Ethics Laws mandate that all judges submit an annual financial disclosure statement wherein the report their income, assets and who gave them money for their political campaigns. Failure to so act provides for a mandatory fine of at least $125.00 for each violation.

When Judge Davis was informed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was in violation of the mandatory reporting rules he responded by saying:

• “It’s my fault I was not aware that I was supposed to file personal financial disclosures.”
• “I blame that on no one else.”

So now we have another Certified Moron claiming he was unaware of the law requiring that he file personal financial disclosure statements. Put simply, Tommy is claiming “ignorance of the law” as a defense to his failure to comply. As we all know, ‘ignorance of the law” is not a valid defense; however, within the Judicial Industry it is usually a stepping stone to higher office.

Tommy’s hyperbolic (BS) defense is analogous to a defendant accused of assaulting his wife defending his conduct before Tommy by claiming he was unaware that there was a law that said you couldn’t beat up your wife.

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Judge Davis continues to sit as a Gwinnett County Superior Court judge in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
