Judge Melodie Conner of Lawrenceville, GA; incompetent loser

The state of Georgia presented Melodie Snell Conner with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from the University of Georgia Law School.

Georgia Ethics Laws mandate that all judges submit an annual financial disclosure statement wherein the report their income, assets and who gave them money for their political campaigns. Failure to so act provides for a mandatory fine of at least $125.00 for each violation.

When Judge Conner was informed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was in violation of the mandatory reporting rules he responded by saying:

  • “If I made a mistake and didn’t pay it, I’ll pay the fine.”
  • “If I filed it timely and they made a mistake and assessed the fine, then I’ll make sure they get it corrected.”
  • “That’s all there is to it.”

So here we have Melodie asserting that if the Ethics Commission made a mistake, I’ll pay the fine. This self-serving, imbecilic (my apologies to imbeciles) doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test.

To suggest that the Commission mistakenly failed to document Melodie’s annual payment and then compounded the error by fining her is per se not worthy of belief. Clearly, Melodie missed her calling as a Standup Comedian.

As we speak (ca. July 2016) Judge Conner continues to sit as a Gwinnett County Superior Court judge in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
