Attorney George Botcheos of Voorhees, NJ; ethical dwarf

The state of New Jersey presented George J. Botcheos with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found George guilty of the following misconduct

  • Entered into business transaction with client without advising the client in writing of the desirability of seeking the advice of independent counsel
  • Borrowed total of $1.2 million from client to purchase real estate
  • Client forced to foreclose on property due to George failing to pay mortgage payments

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2016) George practices in Voorhees, New Jersey.
