Attorney Gerard McLoughlin of Hicksville, NY; convicted shoplifter

The state of New York presented Gerard Peter McLoughlin with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School.

The Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to attempted petty larceny (shoplifting)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in illegal, corrupt and unethical conduct
  • Engage in conduct reflecting on fitness to practice law

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Gerry’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) admonitions and one (1) caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division, Second Department panel punished Jerry the Perv by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Gerry practices at 71 Alexander Avenue in Hicksville, New York.
