Attorney Bruce Young of New York City; repeat offender

The state of New York presented Bruce A. Young with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School.

The Appellate Division, First Department found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of her matter
  • Disregarded ruling of tribunal
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Bruce!)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Never filed motion to set aside judgment of divorce on client’s behalf

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Bruce’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division, Second Department panel punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Bruce practices at 100 Church Street in New York, New York.
