Attorney Ann Hammer of Delavan, WI; serial drunken criminal

The state of Wisconsin presented Ann Cahill Hammer with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from California Western University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Annie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Convicted of two counts of fraud of a hotel innkeeper
• Convicted of second and third offense of driving under the influence (DUI)
• Convicted of two counts of issuing worthless checks (rubber)
• Convicted of once count of disorderly conduct
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

It must feel comforting to the folks living in the greater Delavan area to know that thanks to the comedians sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court there is yet another convicted felon practicing law in their area. Apparently, the jokesters on the Court felt that Annie had a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Annie by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Annie practices in Delavan, Wisconsin.
