Judge William Burin of Lansing, NY; ethical gremlin

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to diligently discharge administrative responsibilities
  • Failed to properly supervise court clerks
  • Negligence led to $153,403 in court funds not being deposited within 72 hours
  • Failed to submit reports/remittances to State Comptroller in timely manner

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Billy continues to sit as a Justice of the Lansing Town Court, Tompkins County in Lansing, New York.
