Attorney John Mack of New London, MN; thief, tax scofflaw

The state of Minnesota presented John E. Mack with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.

The Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misappropriated [stole] client funds
  • Failed to make mandatory interest payments to Lawyer Trust Account Board
  • Regularly deposited fees into client trust account to avoid paying taxes owed to IRS
  • Failed to maintain required trust account records
  • Disbursed settlement funds w/o obtaining court approval
  • Illegally shared fees with non-lawyers

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney/Judicial Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Johnny practices in New London, Minnesota.
