Attorney Joshua Gordon of Detroit; habitual scofflaw, ethical gnome

Attorney Joshua Gordon was gifted with a law license by the Michigan Supreme Court in 1985.

In 2001, the Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board found Joshua guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failure to file a final inventory in a probate matter
  2. Failed to respond to his client’s inquires as to the status of an estate
  3. Misappropriated (legal speak for stole) client funds (plural)
  4. Failed to respond to a show cause motion initiated by the probate court (for contempt) and also failed to appear at a court-ordered hearing on the contempt motion
  5. On three (3) occasions refused to comply with subpoenas issued by the Grievance Commission to provide requested information
  6. His failure to appear per one of the 3 subpoenas alluded to above resulted in an arrest warrant being issued against him
  7. Regarding five (5) other misconduct charges, he refused to answer requests from investigators
One need not be a mental giant to conclude that Joshua’s persistent refusals to comply with subpoenas and/or request from the Grievance Commission was in fact his way of telling them “up yours!.”

As a result of his egregious misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court gifted Joshua with a complimentary 180 day suspension.

As we speak (ca. Jan 2011), this certified loser is practicing law out of an office located at 3586 Anderdon Street in Detroit.
