Gov. Phil Bryant says, Christians will agree to be Crucified in defending discriminatory LGBT laws

During a recent (late May 2016) appearance at the Watchmen on the Wall conference, renowned bigot Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council laughingly presented Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant with the first ever “Samuel Adams Beer Drinker’s Award,” I’m sorry, “Samuel Adams Religious Freedom Award.”

The award was given to Gov. Bryant because he had signed an ant-LGBT bill into law that would allow for businesses to deny service to members of the gay community. After donning a pair of Industrial Strength Knee Pads, Gov. Bryant told his fellow bigots at the conference:

• “And I can tell you how fortunate we are in this nation and in this organization to have a man of faith and leadership in Tony.”
• “God bless you for what you do.”

What kind of elected official would praise the conduct of a dyed-in-the-wool bigot whose sole intent in attacking the LGBT community is to unjustly enrich himself?

Unfortunately, the hard working taxpayers of Mississippi are being forced to pay for the costs of Gov. Bryant’s hatred against members of the Gay Community.

One must question why Phil expends so much energy spewing forth his homophobic hatred towards members of the gay community. Maybe we need to ask Phil the following:

“What’s in your closet, Phil?”
