Judge Dennis Baptista of Phillipsburg, NJ; drunken two-time loser

First and foremost, it should be noted that this isn’t Judge Baptista’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct. An article dealing with said misconduct can be viewed by visiting the URL at the end of this article.

The state of New Jersey presented Dennis Michael Baptista with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The Supreme Court of New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Judge Baptista guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Denny was found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI). However, in a blatant attempt to escape liability for his criminal conduct, Denny attempted to use his influence as a judge talk a state trooper out of arresting him.

Denny the Drunk was pulled over by State Trooper Josh Ladao after a passing motorist reported him driving erratically at about 7:20 pm. Josh then observed Denny swerving between lanes and pulled him over. Initially, Denny told Josh that he was a lawyer coming home from work and that he had not been drinking.

After conducting a field sobriety test, Josh noticed Denny was moving slowly, slurring his speech and reeked of alcohol, which caused him to effectuate an arrest.

Denny then lied when he told Josh that he had not been drinking. When asked where he worked, Denny said he couldn’t respond “because if I tell you, I can get in trouble for that; however, he later told Josh that he was a judge.

As a consequence of his egregious misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Denny the Drunk by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

And lastly,as one would suspect, Denny failed to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.antonuccilegal.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2020), Denny practices his brand of law with the Law Offices of Stacey Selem-Antonucci LLC at 1351 Morris Avenue in Union, New Jersey.
