NRA's Wayne LaPierre: Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

NRA's Wayne LaPierre

Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Wayne. In the past, he has been the recipient of four (4) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During the NRA’s recent (mid-May 2016) annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, feigned outrage about convicted felons having their right to vote restored. (Huffington Post) Wayne went on to tell the audience:

  • Democrats are “even allowing felons the right to vote, including violent rapists and murders.”

Wayne went on with his hyperbolic (BS) statement by saying:

  • “Tentacles of the Clinton machine are out registering those felons right now.”
  • “They’re [Clintons] releasing them, and then they’re registering them.”
  • “Heck, when they sign their release papers, they might as well at the prison door ... give ‘em a Hillary Clinton bumper sticker.”

Anyone with an I.Q. in the mid-nineties or triple digits knows for a fact that neither Hillary or Bill are in any lawful position to cause felons to be released from prison. The sole reason for Wayne’s falsehood is to pursue an agenda to see that Hillary is defeated and this his de facto boyfriend The Donald is elected president in November 2016.

Wayne then laughingly portrayed recent actions by Democrat governors in Maryland and Virginia allowing ex-offenders to vote as dangerously crooked political gimmicks.

To show exactly what kind of Certified A-Hole (my sincerest apologies to A-Holes), Wayne and the NRA are, is the fact that in the past they have fought vociferously for decades to restore the gun rights of ex-cons. In fact, in many instances, lobbying efforts by the NRA has made it easier for ex-felons convicted of violent crimes to legally purchase guns.

The NRA was a main supporter and advocate of the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986, which provide for allowing felons convicted of gun crimes and other violent crimes the right to petition to have their gun rights restored. In one matter, former NRA representative Richard Gardner made the following statement to a reporter for The Washington Post.

  • “There’s no reason why a person who has demonstrated they are now a good citizen should be deprived of their right to own a firearm.”

The bottom line here is that Wayne the Crackpot is willing to go to bat for every ex-con who wants his/her gun rights restored regardless of the heinous nature of their crimes. However, when it comes to allowing the same ex-cons to vote, Wayne demands that they be denied that right for the balance of their lives.

And lastly, I’m confident that if a state takes action to restore the gun rights of ex-felons and at the same time requires the ex-con to register as a Republican that Wayne would wholeheartedly endorse a governor who so acted.

Congrats Wayne; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwball’s”; you are far too humble.
