Attorney Mark Cottle of Sherwood, OR; repeat offender

The state of Oregon presented Mark O. Cottle with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Matt guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Deposited personal funds into attorney trust account
  • Failed to deposit and maintain client funds in trust
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Wrote check on insufficient fund account (rubber)
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As one would suspect, this isn’t Mark’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Matt by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 60-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mark.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Mark practices at 22021 SW Sherwood Blvd in Sherwood, Oregon.
