Attorney Matthew Collins Jr. of New Orleans; ethical misfit

The state of Louisiana presented Matthew B. Collins Jr. with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to protect client’s interests upon withdrawal
  • Neglected client’s legal matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Matty.

As we speak (ca. April 2016) Matty practices at 2208 General Taylor Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
