Attorney Robert Baker of Coconut Creek, FL; ethical gremlin

The state of Florida provided Robert Brian Baker with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

During the course of representing a client in a personal injury case, Bobby allowed a non-lawyer employee under his supervision to issue a letter of protection ensuring a medical provider that his bill would be paid out of the settlement.

When the distribution of funds occurred, the medical provider was not paid. Bobby continued to refuse to honor the letter of protection. It wasn’t until after the Bar complaint was filed that Bobby paid the bill, but he required the medical provider to sign a release agreeing to drop the Bar complaint, which he absolutely new was in violation of Florida Bar rules.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Bobby practices with Baker & Zimmerman PA at 6991 North State Road in Coconut Creek, Florida.
