Judge Thomas Baldwin of Cairo, NY; serial slacker

The state of New York Commisssion on Judicial Conduct found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in significant delays in small claims actions
  • Failed to set trial date for three (3) years
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to rule on a motion for eight (8) years
  • Failed to issue ruling in contempt matter for five (5) years
  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications with litigant

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Tommy continues to sit as a Justice of the Cairo Town Court, Greene County in Cairo, New York.
