The state of Iowa presented Deborah Sue Kimelman with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Iowa Supreme Court found Dean guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to timely file notice of exceptions on client’s behalf
• Engaged in conflict of interest regarding divorce matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Dean by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
