Attorney Richard Jellinger of Anoka, MN; thief, repeat offender

 

The state of Minnesota presented Richard T. Jellinger with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

 

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Dick’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Wrote checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Falsely certified to Supreme Court he properly maintained trust account records
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dick!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Dick’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Misappropriated (stole) client funds
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Made false statements
  • Exceeding the authorized scope of representation
  • Failed to expedite client’s litigation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dick!)
  • Engaged in other assorted acts of misconduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Dick practices with the Jellinger Law Office in Anoka, Minnesota, which is the Halloween capitol of the World.
