Attorney Ted Duffy of Phoenix; disgusting loser

The state of Arizona presented Ted J. Duffy with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of San Diego Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Teddy guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was the lead prosecutor in a capitol murder case.

  • Violated court orders during murder trial
  • Made several arguments which drew multiple defense motion to dismiss and/or for the court to declare a mistrial
  • Failed to redact portion so witness interview prior to it being played for the jury
  • Made misleading (false) reference to DNA evidence that he had not timely disclosed to defense counsel as he was required to do
  • During his opening statement, made reference to bloody footprints found at the crime scene and implied that they belonged to the defendant when he knew no evidence existed to support his fabricated claim
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Asked witnesses about the defendants’ other crimes when he absolutely knew such inquires were strictly forbidden by the evidence rules
  • During closing argument, falsely advised jury that the “reasonable doubt standard” for conviction meant they only needed to “feel comfortable” in finding guilt
  • Improperly injected his personal knowledge and belies into the case
  • Engaged in improper vouching of prosecution witnesses
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Teddy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Teddy practices with the Beauchamp Law Office PC at 4425 East Agave Road in Phoenix, Arizona.

Caution:Teddy does not carry legal malpractice insurance
