Rep. Greg Kirk (GA): Today’s “Bigot”Award Winner
Congratulations to….
State Rep. Greg Kirk (GA) Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner
In November 2014, Greg duped the voters in the Americus area into electing him as a member of the Georgia State Senate.
In early 2016, Greg introduced legislation that would make it much easier for bigots in Georgia to discriminate against members of the gay community. The discriminatory legislation states in part:
I would appear that the so-called “religious liberty” would allow bigots to refuse anyone else their rights, services, and benefits because they’re an interracial couple; are a same-sex couple; are divorced; are remarried; live or have lived with a partner without being married; or have had sex outside of marriage any time in their life.
During the senate debate over the legislation, Sen. Emanuel Jones asked Greg, if the Ku Klux Klan would be counted as a faith-based organization protected under his proposed law. Greg the Moronic Bigot responded by saying:
So all the KKK has to do is claim that they have a religious belief that considers African-Americans, Jews, Gays and Catholics as unworthy of God’s love in order to discriminate against them
To be fair to Greg, it is clear that he is an “Equal Opportunity Bigot,” given his disdain for members of the gay community and for African-Americans.
And lastly, it should be noted that for several years (ca. 1998 to 2005), Greg was the Senior Pastor at the Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker, Georgia. Since Greg never attended or received a degree from a Baptist institution, how is it possible that he became a “Senior Pastor?” Maybe it was his because of his rabid bigotry!
Congrats Greg; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble. |
