Attorney Kenneth Harper of Monticello, AR; thief, repeat offender

The state of Arkansas presented Kenneth Alan Harper with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Converted (stole) $1,500 representing client funds (thief)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to deliver client funds to client as requested
  • Failed to provide client with full accounting of funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Kenny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (February 2016), Kenny practices in Monticello, Arkansas.
