► U.S. Judge Robert Klausner: California’s 2015 “Caloric Intake” Award Winner

Former president George W. Bush was duped into nominating Bobby as a U.S. District Court judge for the Central District of California in 2002. Bobby didn’t get the nomination because he was the most qualified lawyer in the Los Angeles area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Over the past forty-six years (1969-2016), Bobby has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough as he cheerfully engaged in digesting enormous amounts of government calories.  In fact, every paycheck he’s received after obtaining his law license came from the government, with 33 years digesting California state calories and 13 years of federal gobbling up of calories.

At the time that Bush nominated Bobby he was 61-years-old and had spent 28 years on the bench in Pasadena and Los Angeles. Immediately after his appointment in November 2002, Bobby began receiving his California judicial pension which was $110,593 for 2003. The pension increased to $127,974 in 2008 and has remained at the amount through 2014.

The table below sets forth Bobby’s insatiable appetite for state and federal “calories” from 2003 through 2015.

If it weren’t for a government check, Bobby likely would have been employed as a low level Public Defender since it is apparent that no self-respecting law firm in the greater Los Angeles area was about to offer him a good paying job.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Bobby continues to sit as a District Court Judge for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, California.
