Attorney Daniel Johns Jr. of Manitowish Waters, WI; convicted murderer

The state of Wisconsin presented Daniel W. Johns Jr. a law license in 1999.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Danny was the driver in a deadly one-vehicle driving accident while he was drunk. Police reported that Danny was driving too fast as he turned from Highway 51 onto a county highway. He then lost control of his pickup truck, causing it to skid off the roadway and strike a tree. Danny’s brother was partially ejected from the truck; his head hit the tree, causing fatal injuries.

A police officer directed hospital personnel to draw a sample of Danny’s blood after he refused to submit to a blood draw. Danny was arrested, and after being read his Miranda warnings refused to any questions and invoked his right to counsel.

Subsequently, Danny pled guilty to and was convicted of one count of homicide by use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Danny practices with the Dan Johns Law Office in Manitowish, Wisconsin.
