Attorney Linda Griffin of Stephentown, NY; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.

The state of New York presented Linda C. Griffin with a law license in 1978 after she graduated from the Albany Law School.

Linda’s misconduct occurred while he was serving as a Judge of the Family Court in Rensselaer County, which led the Judicial Commission to find him guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Linda abused her contempt power by holding litigants in three separate cases in summary contempt without explicitly warning them of the consequences of their behavior and without an order stating the facts justifying the contempt citation, which is necessary to enable appellate review.

Apparently, Arrogant Linda was of the opinion that “due process” was the means by which the grass became moist in the a.m.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Linda by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2016) Linda practices at 1581 Garfield Road in Stephentown, New York.
