Attorney Robert Murphy of Binghamton, NY; ethical leprechaun

The state of New York presented Robert Christopher Murphy with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina Law School.

Bobby’s misconduct occurred while he was serving as a Judge of the Binghamton City Court in Broome County, which led the Judicial Commission to find him guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Bobby saw fit to allow his law partners and associates including a former member of the Judicial Commission to practice in his court, and to appear before in on several occasions contrary to New York law and specific court rules.

As a consequence of his misconduct, Bobby the Coward, well aware that he would be tossed off the bench, agreed to resign. He further agreed that if ever returned to the bench, charges would be reinstated and the Judicial Commission would see his removal from office.

As we speak (ca. February 2016) Bobby practices at 53 Chenango Street in Binghamton, New York.
