Gov. Rick Snyder (MI): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Gov. Rick Snyder (MI)

Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

After giving a belated and fake apology to the citizens of Flint after allowing them to be poisoned by having his hand-picked flunky manager order that they be made to drink water from the Flint river, Ricky had the chutzpah to appoint yet another of his lackey’s to oversee a so-called investigation of the water crisis.

The problem with Ricky’s appointee, former prosecutor Todd Flood, is that he has contributed at least $3,000 to his gubernatorial campaigns. Add to this the fact that the Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette who is responsible for to assure a fair and unbiased investigation of any criminal wrongdoing also received over $10,000 in campaign contributions from Mr. Flood.

AG Schuette is also responsible for defending Snyder and the state from a pending class-action lawsuit regarding the water fiasco.

To assuage the concerns of Flint citizens that his contributions to Snyder and Schuette constituted a conflict of interest, Flood had the chutzpah to respond by promising to “provide

Michiganresidents with an impartial answer to the question of whether any state laws were broken.”

This is akin to appointing David Duke, past Grand Wizard of the Louisiana KKK to head an investigation as to whether the Klan is involved in overt discrimination. Would anybody doubt what conclusions Duke would report after a thorough investigation?

And lastly, it would have been more ethical and humane if Gov. Snyder traveled to Flint and slapped each victim across the face.

Congrats Ricky; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
