Attorney Sharon Hunter of New Orleans; ethical gremlin

The State of Louisiana presented Sharon K. Hunter with a law license in 1981.

Sharon’s misconduct came about while she sitting on the Criminal District Court for the Parish of Orleans. This led to the Judiciary Commission finding Sharon guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in persistent conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Pled guilty to six (6) counts of violating municipal penal ordinances
  • Failed to improve properties as required after pleading guilty to repeatedly violating municipal penal ordinances
  • Brought judicial office into disrepute

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Sharon by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Sharon practices at 2629 Dante Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
