Attorney Karl Adkins of Charlotte; drunken convict

The State of North Carolina presented Karl Adkins with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.

Karl’s misconduct took place while he was sitting as a  General Court of Justice in the Superior Court Division, which caused the North Carolina Commission on Judicial Conduct to find him guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Karl was stopped by a law enforcement officer in Randolph County. Karl submitted to a test to measure his blood alcohol level, which revealed that he was driving while intoxicated.

Subsequently, Karl was arrested and charged with speeding at 83 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone and driving while under the influence  of an impairing substance, alcohol.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court punished Karl by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Karl practices at 1231 Belgrave Place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
