Attorney Gordon Joyner of Atlanta; ethical Ogre

The state of Georgia presented Gordon Joyner with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found Gordy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Willfully abandoned client’s case
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact
• Settled matter without client authorization
• Failed to respond to discovery
• Failed to advise client of court orders

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Gordy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
