Attorney Jeffrey Weinsten of North Salem, NY; convicted felon

The state of New York presented Jeffrey Joseph Weinsten with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Columbia University Law School.

The Appellate Division, Second Department found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jeff was convicted of three counts of mail fraud in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Subsequently, Jeff was sentenced to a one-year period of probation with a special condition of six months' home detention, fined $2,000, and ordered to pay $36,000 in restitution.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division, Second Department panel punished Jeff by ordering that he be disbarred.

Several years later, the comedians at the Appellate Division, Second Department had the chutzpah to reinstate Jeff’s law license. Apparently, they were of the belief that he was entitled to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Jeff practices in North Salem, New York.
