Attorney Marcus Coleman of Cincinnati; lying cheat

The state of Ohio presented Marcus Edward Coleman with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Marcus guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Falsely assured client funds were being held in trust
  • Failed to maintain adequate records of client funds
  • Failed to reconcile client trust account on monthly basis
  • Acted with selfish or dishonest motive
  • Converted $18,000 of client funds to his own personal use
  • Caused financial harm to be suffered by client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Marcus by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2016) Marcus practices with The Law Office of Marcus E. Coleman LLC at 2692 Madison Road in Cincinnati, Ohio.
