Attorney Bruce Hoffman of St. Helena Island, SC; ethical elf

The State of South Carolina presented Bruce Robert Hoffman with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Southwestern University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly treated unearned fees as an earned retainer
• Failed to maintain records for his trust account
• Commingled trust funds with operating funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2016) Bruce practices with the Law Office of Bruce R. Hoffman LLC at 574 Sea Island Parkway in Saint Helena Island, South Carolina.
