Rep. Paul Ryan (WI): Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Paul Ryan (WI)

Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Paulie. In the past, he has been the recipient of one () Screwball Award and four (4) opinion pieces. That award and opinion pieces listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

In a recent (early January 2016), new speaker-of-the-house Paul Ryan laughingly announced that he would allow yet another vote in the House to repeal Obamacare. This will be the fifty-fourth time such a useless vote has taken place. Paulie also announced a vote to defund Planned Parenthood. In support of his asinine conduct, Paulie had the chutzpah to say:

  • “You’re going to see us put a bill on the president's desk going after Obamacare and Planned Parenthood so we'll finally get a bill on his desk to veto.”
  • “Then you're going to see the House Republican Conference, working with our senators, coming out with a bold agenda that we're going to lay out for the country, to say how we would do things very differently.”

Ever since Rep. John Boehner became speaker in January 2011, he allowed the house to vote fifty-three or more times to repeal Obamacare. The Bone did so even though he absolutely knew the repeal vote would never pass the Senate and if it did it would surely be vetoed by President Obama.

Rep. Ryan laughingly claims to be a financial conservative; however, just like his counterpart Boehner, he doesn’t give a damn about wasting millions in taxpayer dollars in passing legislation that has absolutely no chance of becoming law.

Congrats Paulie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
