Attorney David Winkel of Neenah, WI; moron, repeat offender

The state of Wisconsin presented David J. Winkel with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to timely disclose client’s expert witnesses
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Never identified unnamed defendants on client’s behalf
• Never conducted discovery on client’s behalf
• Failed to properly respond to defendant’s motion for summary judgment
• Defendant’s motion for summary judgment granted due to Dave’s conduct
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to be candid with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dave!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Dave’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. December 2015), Dave practices with the David J. Winkel Law Office at 411 South Commercial Street in Neenah, Wisconsin.
