If you say “Happy Holidays” to me, I just might slap you

In November 2014, Sid Miller succeeded in duping the voters in Texas into electing him as the state’s Agriculture Commissioner.

During a recent (mid-December 2015) Facebook post, Sid said that people must say “Merry Christmas” to him or nothing at all. He then went on to say:

  • “If one more person says Happy Holidays to me, I just might slap them.”
  • “Either tell me Merry Christmas or just don’t say anything.”

Of course Sid is just feigning outrage about saying Merry Christmas to him verses Happy Holidays.

I’m confident that Sid would be very angry if anyone had the chutzpah to suggest he was an honest politician. And if it did happen, Sid would likely respond as follows:

  • “If one more person says you’re the most honest politician I’ve ever known, I just might kick their ass.”
  • “Either tell me I’m a total A-hole, or just don’t say anything.”
