Judge Larry Gaddis of Place County, CA; intellectually impotent

Judge Gaddis was gifted with a law license by the California Supreme Court in 1980 and immediately went to work as an assistant Placer County DA where he remained until 1989. He then succeeded in duping the voters in Placer County, California (40 miles north of Sacramento) to vote him to a judgeship in 1989.

Therefore, Judge Larry Gaddis has had his significant snout firm planted in the public trough for the last 30 years.

Recently Judge Gaddis presided over a 1st Amendment case involving the upscale Roseville Galleria Mall’s asinine rules that clearly made a mockery of free speech rights. The Mall put into place moronic rules prohibiting the following conduct by visitors to the Mall.
  • Communicating with or approaching anyone not personally known to them
  • Talking with anyone on a topic unrelated to the business interests of the mall or its tenants
This obvious trampling on the 1st Amendment meant that a visitor was prohibited from approaching someone unknown to them and communicating with them as follows.
  • Visitor: Mam, I’m new to the area, could you tell me how to get to the Thunder Valley Indian Casino?
  • Visitor: Sir, I’m having trouble with my car, could you direct me to the nearest mechanic shop?
  • Visitor: Sir, my grandson just turned 18, do you know how far it is to the Bunny Ranch?
In addition, the Mall had a rule requiring visitors to submit a written application for permission to approach and/speak with someone unknown to him/her to the mall’s security office “four days in advance.” Four days in advance Mr. Wizard? Would it go something like this?
  • Mr. Jones has a vision on July 8 that he may want to visit the Mall on the 12th
  • Since Mr. Jones is a friendly type of feller and doesn’t want to cross swords with Mall Security, he submits an application to indiscriminately speak to anonymous persons of unknown gender about some yet to be determined issue or matter
Think maybe Mall Security would have difficulty in processing Mr. Jones’ application?

The case came before Judge Gaddis after a 27-year-old pastor went to the Mall to talk to others about his faith which led to mall security arresting him, handcuffing him and turning him over to the Roseville Police where he was booked. The pastor then rightfully sued the Mall for violating his 1st Amendment rights.

In an effort to cement his status as a certified moron/idiot, Judge Gaddis sided with the mall’s egregious violation of the 1st Amendment.

As anyone with an I.Q. higher than the legal speed limit in a school zone could have predicted, the Court of Appeals totally reversed Judge Larry Gaddis’ idiotic judgment in favor of the Mall. Unfortunately, the overburdened taxpayers of California were forced to foot the bill for Gaddis’ moronic conduct.

And lastly, it seems to me that Judge Larry Gaddis missed his calling as a stand-up comedian, if ya know what I mean.
