Attorney Richard Pope Jr. of Bellevue, WA; ethical elf

The state of Washington presented Richard Lamar Pope Jr. with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Washington Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to withdraw from case as ordered by the court
• Failed to advise client of court’s show cause order
• Failed to consult with client re: means by which objectives to be pursued

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2016), Dick practices with the Law Offices of Richard Pope at 15600 NE Eight Street in Bellevue, Washington.
