Sen. Ted Cruz Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Teddy. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-nine (9) Awards in various categories and one (1) lament. Those awards and lament are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
In a recent (late November 2015) interview with comedian Robert George on the Catholic television network EWIN, Teddy decided to once again attack the legitimacy of the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality.
The following Q & A took place between George and Teddy.
George: “Was Lincoln right to defy the court on [Dred Scott] and would you, as president, do that with the Obergefell [marriage equality] decision?” Teddy: “Lincoln was absolutely right, I agree with President Lincoln, And courts do not make law. That is not what a court does. A court interprets the law, a court applies the law, but courts don’t make law.”
Teddy went on to state that the marriage equality ruling is “profoundly wrong” in referring to it as the law of the land. He then said:
Teddy’s resume states that he graduated scum laude from Princeton and magna scum laude from Harvard Law School. Apparently, Teddy skipped classes at Harvard that dealt with the Constitution and the duty of the Supreme Court to interpret the constitutionality of laws passed by the states or the federal government.
The Supreme Court didn’t “make law” as Teddy falsely claims, it merely interpreted the constitutionality of depriving gay folks from marrying just like their heterosexual counterparts are lawfully allowed to do. Put simply, the court ruled that such laws were discriminatory.
One must seriously wonder why Teddy expends so much energy spewing forth hatred towards members of the gay community. Maybe we need to ask Teddy the following:
“What’s in your closet, Teddy?”
Congrats Teddy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
