Judge Hilleri Merritt of LA; Il Duce Wannabee; moron, ethical gnome   Unfortunately, Judge Hilleri Merritt has been sitting on the Superior Court in LA for the last 14 years. Prior to duping the voters into electing her to the bench, she was an assistant LA County prosecutor, a position she obtained shortly after she was gifted with a law license.
Put simply, Judge Hilleri Merritt has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough during her undistinguished career as a so-called public servant.
Recently, Judge Merritt decided it was time to cement her status as a Moron by issuing a “prior restraint” order against the LA Times prohibiting it from publishing photos of Alberd Tersargyan who is accused of four counts of murder. (LA Times, reporter Tim Rutten - 8/7/2010)
This Moron issued said order despite the fact that she previously permitted a Times photographer to shoot pictures of the accused murderer in her courtroom. The Moron defended her asinine ruling by saying she believed that the accused murderer’s 6th Amendment right to a fair tria
 l required her to impose a prior restrain order against the LA Times. If given the chance, I suppose Judge Merrittand criminal defendants named below.
Obviously, Judge Hilleri Merritt missed her calling as a “standup comedian.”
Apparently, this certified idiot is unable to comprehend what the 1st Amendment actually stands for. Why da ya think it was designated as the 1st Amendment verses the 13th Amendment Ms. Wizard?
 Moreover, it’s abundantly clear that Judge Merritt is totally ignorant of the specific rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court that has consistently found that “prior restraint” is abhorrent conduct when used to silence and/or muzzle the Press.
Due to this moron’s unconstitutional “prior restraint” ruling, the LA Times is being forced to appeal to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. I can assure you that that they’ll win; however, the costs of this unwarranted and wasteful litigation will be borne by the taxpayers of LA County and the State. Of course Ms. Il Duce isn’t concerned about wasting the taxpayers money, right?
Judge Merritt Proving she’s a Certified Moron/Loser
During an interview with the Metropolitan News when recently running for reelection, Merritt had the audacity to say that her career path [lawyer/judge] was launched when she was 10 years old.
 At the time she lived in San Francisco and opined that she thought it was profoundly wrong that former supervisor Dan White was not convicted of murdering Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk based on his so-called “Twinkie defense.”
Merritt laughingly told the Metro News that at the dinner table when was a 5th grader, she said that when she was older, she was going to rectify the situation (the Dan White murder case). Judge Merritt’s comments are per se not worthy of belief and are therefore, in legal jargon without merit (pun intended). If you’re inclined to believe this BS, then you’d likely also believe that the late Pope John Paul did in fact nominate Madonna to be his chief spokesperson on the efficacy of monogamous relationships. Anyone holding such a belief clearly possesses an I.Q. equal to and/or lower than the legal speed limit in a school zone.
Seems as though Judge Merritt relishes the thought of providing the LA Times with a little rectification, right? Hmmm, I recall back in the mid-1990s being rectified by an unethical judge in Bowling Green, Ohio. I can attest to the fact that it ain’t a pleasant experience unless you’ve been fitted with an industrial strength, inversed chastity belt! |
