This isn’t the first Award presented to Kris. In the past, he has been the recipient of three (3) Awards in various categories. Those awards can be viewed by going to the listed category. 

During his weekly radio program (ca. early November 2015), Kansas Secretary of

State Kris Kobach, a dyed-in-the-wool voter suppression aficionado, laughingly claimed that same-voter registration was a “travesty.” (Miranda Blue)

Kris went on to falsely claim that restrictive voting laws (voter suppression) was necessary to prevent fabricated voter fraud schemes.

On his comedy radio show that airs on Kansas City’s KCMO, Kris took a call from a fellow screwball who claimed that facial recognition scanning on all voters and going into the houses of people who vote by mail so that their faces could be scanned would prevent voter fraud.

To support his bigoted voter suppression agenda, Kris put forth a false story about Woods County, Ohio and a thoroughly debunked voter fraud conspiracy about people being bused in from a big city to vote fraudulently. Of course these fabricated stories were published on the loony conspiracy theory website Infowars.

First and foremost, there is no Woods County in Ohio. There is a Wood County which is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. Kris then told his intellectually bereft listeners:

• “Well, I think that in Woods County, Ohio, 108 percent of the registered voters cast ballots for Obama”” the caller insisted,
• “And I think that in Wisconsin, busloads of people from Chicago were bused to polls where under state law you could register to vote on Election Day and not even have an I.D.”

It is an undisputable fact that Wood County, Ohio is and has always been a Republican stronghold. This fact in and of itself proves beyond all doubt that Kris’ statement is pure bunk. In fact, in the 2012 presidential election, Obama only received 45% of the vote in Wood County.

It is indeed rather sad that an elected official would be willing to spew forth such lies on a daily basis for the sole purpose of decreasing the votes of minorities in order to skew the election results.

Congrats Kris; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble.
