Attorney Thomas LePage of Maui, HI; convict, repeat offender

The state of Hawaii presented Thomas R. LePage with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from California Western School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to promptly notify client of disbursement of client funds
  • Violated rule prohibiting representation of physically or mentally disabled client
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests after being discharged
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Knowingly disobeyed a court order

  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, Disciplinary Counsel punished Tommy by ordering that he be disbarred; however, several years later the comedians on Disciplinary Counsel reinstated Tommy’s law license.

In one matter, Tommy was criminally convicted of a Class C felony.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Tommy practices in Maui, Hawaii.
