Attorney Roger Bauer of Warren, OH; greedy loser

The state of Ohio presented Roger Richard Bauer with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Akron Law School.

The Mahoning County Bar Association found Roger guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Roger was contacted by a friend who asked if he knew any attorneys that handled medical malpractice cases. Subsequently, Roger referred the mother of a brain-damaged infant to another attorney, who later entered into a written contingent-fee agreement with the parents. Shortly thereafter, the parents obtained a substantial jury verdict in their favor.

Even though Roger never entered into a written fee agreement with the parents, he had the chutzpah to filed a lawsuit against the attorney who represented the parents in the malpractice case, claiming that he was entitled to share in the attorney fees in that case.

The trial court summarily dismissed Roger’s money-grubbing case, and the matter was ultimately arbitrated by the Ohio State Bar, which ruled against Greedy Roger.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Roger by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2015) Roger practices at 244 Seneca Avenue in Warren, Ohio.
